“I have attended several group workshops and an individual instruction with Kim. After each session I returned to my motel and wrote a memo of what was covered in the instruction and exposure/concept notes from the shooting experience. One thing I recall is the experience level of the models and their desire to help your development of the concept of the shot. The shot I am attaching is a concept advanced by the model. I asked her what set up she would like to have for our shots. She asked that some of the furniture would to be moved and she would pose reclined on the floor. The background was multi planed patio doors which eliminated any distraction but give an interesting plane of light. The floor was reflective of the models image and the light softly coming in through the windows in the doors. That took care of the foreground. The pose was chosen by the model and her experience and sense of the image provided delicate hand positions and the form of the legs gave an excellent line.
This experience makes a workshop shoot productive of images that you are glad to have on your wall. I am appreciative of the quality of models and the pointed instruction provided by Kim.”
