The 2016 April Print of the Month - Nude and Shadow, Gaudi was photographed on the top of La Pradera in Barcelona, Spain. Known as one of Gaudi's last buildings, before he dedicated himself to the building of the Sagrada Familia. The Casa Milà is one of the best known and most impressive buildings in Barcelona. It has no right angles. It is known as the Quarry house. We spent a memorable morning on the rooftop of this building as the sun came up over the horizon. It was amazing and inspiring to be there. Watching the morning sun come up and cast beautiful shadows along the walls and patios. It was enchanting. Here are a few snapshots we took while we spent the morning on the rooftop. We are excited to announce the 2016 Print of the Month Portfolio! This year's selection will be from our 2014-2015 Spain Nude Photo Workshops. The first nude photography workshop was in Andalusia, Spain, 2014 and the 2nd nude workshop was held in Barcelona, Spain, 2015. The July Print of the Month was made on our 2013 visit to France. This specially priced 8x10 photograph is available for $300 for the month of July. We are in the midst of a busy summer here in Carmel. So far this year, we have taught 3 Studio Nude Photography Workshops at our home. We are meeting so many new photographers and spending time with former workshop participants. We have been having a great time. The next few months are starting to fill up with The One on One Photography Workshops that Kim is teaching, they are very popular!
Kim and I have been back to photographing in the studio! Its been super fun. Can't wait to share them with you all! We are working on several new videos too!
Kim is going to the Shanghai Photo Festival in China this September and when he returns, we head straight out to teach The Desert Resort Figure Workshop on October 1-6, 2015. For the past 14 years, Gina & Kim Weston have been teaching Fine Art Nude Photography Workshops at their home on Wildcat Hill, the former home Edward Weston. Wildcat Hill is famous for the light that emanates through the skylight and windows. Just imagine when you attend our workshop, that you get to photograph under this same amazing light, at this historical location in Edward Weston's home! With more than 3 private locations to shoot in, we can easily accommodate up to 9 workshop participants. While most of the locations are indoors we also have several beautiful outside areas to photograph in too! This nude photography workshop is well organized with plenty of time and space that gives you time to relax and think about what you are photographing. This enables you to slow down, take your time and get your best photographs! Perfect for beginners who may be a little nervous about attending a nude workshop and great for all levels of photographers.

We still have some openings in our workshops this year. Starting on May 15-17, 2015 - The Wildcat Studio Nude Workshop is great for beginners to the most experienced photographers. Come and photograph in one of the most historical places in the world! Edward Weston's home on Wildcat Hill in Carmel Highlands CA. Experience the rich atmosphere, the light that drew Edward to this special place he called home.Photograph with ease in groups, with experienced models in a setting that is very private and not hurried. Beyond a unique photographic experience, here are the highlights that will complement our program during this fabulous workshop: On April 16th, after our welcoming arrival in Barcelona we will visit the Picasso Museum and see the exhibition Picasso/Dali. Dali/Picasso. For the first time in history, two legends side by side in an exhibition celebrating the surrealism. In the outskirts of Barcelona we will visit the famous Cathedral of Cava: CODORNIU where we will have lunch. Grupo Tragaluz will offer us a extraordinary culinary experience during our nights in Barcelona, where we will try mediterranean food and tapas, served with the best catalan wines. Also during the weekend in the Costa Brava, we will stay in PERELADA, a unique vineyard close to the Dali Museum in Figueres.
Finally on the afternoon of April 22nd, at the end of our workshop, we will have a private visit to Foto Colectania Foundation, the most important photographic archive in Spain. More surprises will happen along our program. But for these you have to join us...

This workshop is sold out. Join Kim Weston (grandson of Edward Weston) and Mark Comon for two days of photography capturing artistic nudes on the famous Weston estate, Wildcat, in Carmel, California. Wildcat locations include forest, garden, house and Kim’s working studio. You will create amazing images using only the natural light that Kim and Edward made so famous. Photographers will work in teams of two or three so collaboration is paramount! You won't have to go-it-alone. Our male and female models are true professionals that are helpful and patient, especially with first-timers.
